The Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne has been weaving rugs in its Burgundy workshops since 1958, building a reputation among the world’s most demanding interior architects for its command of hand-knotting, hand-weaving and hand-tufting alike. Awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant distinction for living heritage, its artisans transform wool, silk, bamboo and raffia into rugs whose textures and patterns keep the visible imprint of the human hand.

This black-and-blue rendering of Eclipse pushes Elsa Barbillon’s astronomical narrative toward night itself, the darker palette echoing the rug’s own story of a sun swallowed by darkness until only the vibration of the soul remains audible. Hand-tufted in wool and silk for the Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne, the deep blue accents catch the light the way a night sky catches starlight, keeping the Dreams collection’s poetic, astronomy-inspired vocabulary intact in a moodier key.

Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
