The son of a sculptor, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance grew up surrounded by tools and raw material long before he ever sat at a drafting table. Founder of the Neonata studio, he has spent two decades translating the language of nature — its curves, erosions and quiet balances — into furniture for Hermès, Baccarat and Saint-Louis. From his studio in Lisbon, he now works chiefly in stone and bronze, favouring small limited editions that honour the individuality of each block and each cast.

Also limited to 12 pieces and hand-tufted in 75% wool and 25% silk, the Endless 1 rug takes its title from the sense of continuous, unbroken movement in its design, as though the ink strands from which it originates simply kept flowing off the edge of the paper. Shown first in brown, it can be produced in bespoke colours and dimensions to suit a specific room. The weaver’s interpretation of Duchaufour-Lawrance’s original ink work means every rug carries a slightly different rhythm of colour and density.

Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
