Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski opened Garcé & Dimofski’s studio and gallery in a 19th-century Pombaline building in Lisbon. They bring a rigorous, architectural eye to furniture that never strays far from the earth it comes from — chestnut, walnut, pine and clay, shaped by hand with Portuguese craftsmen who have spent lifetimes mastering their materials.
Osci Black takes the bench’s continuous, three-seat curve and finishes it in a deep black stain over chestnut, rather than the wood’s natural tone, so the grain still shows through but reads much darker and more graphic against a room. Natural chestnut remains available for a softer look, and both wood and dimensions can be adjusted to order.
