The Ondine Sofa by Leo Sentou expands the bergere en gondole devised by Parisian menuisier Antoine Bonnemain into full-length seating, its Louis XVI medallion reworked into plush upholstery that remains the tender, emotional heart of the design.
Upholstered here in Dedar’s Caolino fabric in naturale with a wood frame and solid oak feet, available in gouged bronze, the Ondine Sofa offers bespoke fabrics and dimensions on request. The most inspiring detail remains its medallion motif, reworked into the upholstered backrest so the sofa’s most historic reference becomes an invitation to sink in rather than admire from afar.
Trained at the ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres School in Paris before moving to London to take a master’s degree at Central Saint Martins, Leo Sentou works on high end residential and hospitality projects honing his skills and sense for detail, whilst growing a strong passion for beautiful finishes. In 2021, Leo launched his first furniture line that encapsulates his love for noble materials and exceptional craftmanship.
