Every design begins as a drawing in the Paris studio, then travels to Vastrakala, the maison’s atelier in Chennai, where more than 270 artisans hand-embroider each piece using techniques passed down through generations, the same expertise once called upon to restore the gilded interiors of the Château de Versailles.
The Embroidered Mirror by Lesage Intérieurs wraps a classic silhouette in an Empire-inspired frame, where the refinement of couture patterning meets the rustic texture of hand-knotted rope. Off-white cord is coiled and stitched by the maison’s artisans until the raw material reads as sculpture, a signature contrast between rusticity and sophistication born of a century of embroidery savoir-faire.
