The Sideboard Albertine carries the name of Maison Leleu, the French Art Deco house Jules Leleu founded in 1910 and that once dressed the ocean liner Normandie, the Elysee Palace and the United Nations lounge in Geneva. Revived today by great-granddaughter Alexia Leleu, the maison works from its own archive, translating drawings by Jules, Jean and Paule Leleu into pieces for contemporary interiors.

Lacquered here in a deep forest green, with a black lacquer version also available, the Albertine sideboard reworks a display cabinet originally drawn by Jean Leleu, Jules’s son, into a more compact silhouette. Fine wrought-iron legs, chosen for their lightness, are traced with slim brass fillets, a detail added to keep the piece from ever feeling heavy despite its lacquered mass.
