After his death, Ozone’s founders Etienne Gounot and Eric Jähnke, who had known and worked with him, reissued the Brasilia collection in his honour.
The Brasilia LH Floor Lamp designed by Michel Boyer is not just a standing light. It grows from the fixture Boyer conceived in 1974, reissued after his passing in 2011 by Ozone’s founders Etienne Gounot and Eric Jähnke, who had known and worked with him and wanted his stacked, geometric vocabulary to rise, full scale, from the floor of a room.
Made of brass, aluminium and steel, the floor lamp sets a black lacquered base beneath a white lacquered shade structure in white polycarbonate and paper diffusion material, the dark plinth anchoring the tall column of soft, even light above it. The result reads as a piece of quiet architecture standing at full height in a room.
