The Tennessee Wall Lamp SC designed by Glenn Sestig is not just a sconce. It belongs to the collection the Belgian brutalist architect created for Ozone in 2020 as a tribute to the great outdoors and to music, conceived, like the rest of the Tennessee family, to sit flush against a wall or ceiling as an extension of the architecture around it.
Made from an aluminium and brass structure finished in bronze, the sconce channels light through a soft white paper diffusion material, its gentle glow softening the otherwise taut, brutalist lines of the frame. The fixture is engineered by Ozone for a warm, high-performance light that never overpowers the room it occupies.
Wonderfully combining magic, technology and architecture, Gounot and Jähnke are inspired by light; they masterfully merge the Parisian tradition of craftsmanship with the latest LED light technologies. The clean lines of their designs conjure timeless geometries – cubes, tubes and circles – that encompass most styles, from classic to edgy. The assemblage details, metal finishes and lighting performance of each design are of the highest level.
