Part of Sattio Studio’s TT1 collection, this candle holder distills the studio’s geometric language into a compact, totemic form — stacked volumes finished in satin lacquer, a technique requiring successive coats built up and hand-polished to achieve its soft, light-catching sheen. Francesco Balzano, who trained under Joseph Dirand before founding his own atelier, brings an architect’s discipline to the piece: forms are pared to essentials, proportions calculated so the object reads as sculpture as much as function. Handcrafted in France, it is issued in a limited edition of 50, each piece signed, numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. On a console, dining table, or mantel, its solidity and stillness anchor a room without competing with what surrounds it.
