Her work is defined by a sharp-edged, near-Brutalist geometry, primal forms distilled to their essentials, where matter itself, whether marble, metal or wood, is left to speak with almost no ornament.
The Inside Out Rosso Levanto Candle Holder by Karen Chekerdjian is proof that light needs very little to become magical. Trained in Milan under Massimo Morozzi and tempered by years at EDRA before she opened her own studio in Beirut, Chekerdjian designed a bearer of light that is simple in shape and dense in material, a must-have object for a room that wants its glow to feel eternal rather than merely functional.
Cut from Rosso Levanto, the oxblood-red marble streaked with dark veining, the candle holder is produced by Mmairo, the Carrara atelier that has kept extraction and manufacture in-house since 2016. As an interchangeable top for the Inside Out Table, it can hold its own on a console or join the base, letting the same intense red stone dictate the mood of an entire room after dark.
