Glow is a new collection inspired by the Inner Glow – a sculptural lighting piece designed in collaboration with French architect and designer Sophie Dries. This collection sees Inner Glow’s grandeur distilled into a more compact form suitable for the contemporary home. The designers’ choice of paper is an evolution of the papier-mâché process and has a raw, textural quality that resembles stone.
Before founding Kaia in 2013, Manuela Szewald worked as a tax lawyer for a financial institution in Frankfurt and London. It’s in 2010, whilst refurbishing her family’s holiday home – a hamlet of 300-year-old farmhouses- that she rediscovered her deep passion for interior design and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
