Crowned Cactus is the largest piece Objekti produces, made with Mexican artisan families working in Pre-Columbian pottery techniques. Its scale alone makes it one of the collection’s most commanding statements.
Hand-carved in clay with a glazed green finish achieved through copper sulphate glazing and multiple firings, Crowned Cactus varies slightly in shape and shade from piece to piece, bespoke colours available on request. As the largest piece in the Objekti collection, it is a feat of multiple layers of glazing and unparalleled brilliance, majestically shaped to grace any home or terrace.
Objekti is the brainchild of Miriam Frowein and Benjamin Frowein, siblings-in-law with a shared passion for beauty and elegance. Miriam is the principle of Miriam Frowein Interiors, a London-based studio focusing on international, high-end residential projects. Benjamin is the President of American design brand Schumacher. During a trip to Mexico, they discovered the ancient tradition of ceramic art and pottery crafts dating back to the Pre-Columbian period. They fell in love with the pines – unique pieces that symbolize goodwill in Mexico- and decided to launch Objekti.
