Today we unveil at Invisible Collection New York, the Jacques Doucet Legacy Brand through a new collection of furniture. No need to introduce Jacques Doucet. His name alone conjures a world of culture and aesthetic influence, celebrated in museums across the globe and revered by the likes of Saint Laurent and Lagerfeld. Now, his legendary taste is being channeled through an exclusive furniture collection that reintroduces his unique aesthetic in the form of exquisite designs that merge historical reverence with a modern twist.
Designed by Garcé & Dimofski, the collection encapsulates Doucet’s love for refined craftsmanship and timeless elegance. Beautifully staged in our New York Gallery, each piece evokes an aspect of Doucet’s life, taste, or friendships, from his luxurious salons on Rue Spontini to his avant-garde residence at Studio Saint James in Neuilly. It is not only a homage but also an invitation to explore Doucet’s universe, embodying what Garcé & Dimofski describe as “the beginning of a long conversation with Doucet.”
Discover the Jacques Doucet furniture collection, now on view at our New York Gallery and available exclusively through Invisible Collection.
Alongside our star designers, we invited an array of specialty creators from Chanel’s Maisons d’Art such as Lesage Intérieurs, Studio MTX, Goossens, and Lemarié to aid in showcasing the French savoir-faire & superior craftsmanship. This collaboration will shine a light on Chanel’s specialists – long-established craft maisons whose métiers span the most exquisite crafts in haute couture.
Furthermore, we are thrilled to announce a special collaboration – the first of its kind- with famed Librairie 7L. Founded by Karl Lagerfeld in 1999, and acquired by Chanel in March 2021, the 7L Parisian bookshop has been invited to introduce the 7L book curation service at The Townhouse: a custom, tailored book selection for clients’ homes based on their topics of interest. Housed on the ground floor and displayed on custom bookshelves in wood and ceramic designed by Garcé & Dimofski, a specially curated book collection by the 7L team is now on show.
The Townhouse will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. We look forward to welcoming you to our home in New York!
