The Arles armchair by Alice Lahana is born from a slow, sculptural approach to furniture, where each line is shaped by hand in the designer’s Paris-based workshop. Conceived as a dialogue between structure and lightness, its form emerges through a meticulous traditional assembly process, where every wooden element finds its balance only in the final composition.
Crafted by the designer herself in the east of Paris, each piece is produced in small series, embracing an intimate and experimental creative process. The chair reflects a vision of design as sculpture — intuitive, tactile, and deeply rooted in manual gesture.
Made from French oak sourced in Burgundy, the Arles armchair celebrates raw, local materials, elevated through careful craftsmanship. Its name evokes a timeless southern landscape, anchoring the piece in a poetic and distinctly French narrative.
