Dagmar was founded in London with a singular devotion: to bring the golden age of Scandinavian design back into the light. Working closely with heritage workshops across Denmark and Sweden, the house rediscovers pieces by the great mid-century Nordic makers, many left unproduced for decades, and reissues them using the same traditional joinery, hand-finishing and upholstery techniques the originals demanded.
The Entre Bench by Kai Kristiansen belongs to the modular Entre Series the Danish designer conceived in 1956, balancing contemporary and classical sensibilities with elegant, considered details. Dagmar’s edition is hand-joined using traditional cabinetmaking techniques and finished with Kristiansen’s signature chamfered legs. Upholstered in mustard Teddy Mohair from Pierre Frey or cognac Genova leather, its solid walnut frame is built to seat two in quiet, tactile comfort.
