Jorge Zalszupin was a Polish-born architect who emigrated to Brazil and became one of the defining figures of Brazilian Modernism.

Designed in 1959, the Dinamarquesa borrows its clean lines from mid-century Danish design, an homage reflected in its name, which means ‘Danish girl’ in Portuguese. Crafted in exotic Brazilian hardwood with a delicate frame, the armchair is shown here upholstered in El Luda linen, though its seat can also be dressed in fine leather for a richer finish.
