French Cliché initiates an exclusive collaboration between artist and illustrator Victor Cadene and fabric manufacturer Maison Thévénon. Inspired by the traditional French ‘toile de Jouy’ Victor Cadene draws three characters, three scenes. An ode to indolence that takes its roots in Mediterranean pictures, a reference to Ingres or Matisse. Maison Thévénon, dresses walls and furniture with sophisticated fabrics since 1908. The manufacturer seizes the essence of the artist’s drawing and applies them to a beautiful cotton poplin. Napkins and tablecloths appear in the atelier’s printing machines. Victor’s imaginary world combines with Maison Thévénon’s know-how to invade your table.
