Founded by architect Louise Breguet and Jean-Baptiste Souletie, La Chance is a Parisian editor of furniture, lighting and rugs built on one simple bet: that contemporary design and the ornamental spirit of French Art Deco could sit comfortably side by side. From their studio and material library near the Palais Royal, the pair invite an international roster of designers — Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Sebastien Herkner, Hannes Peer and Note Design Studio among them — to work with European artisans: marble cut in Portugal, upholstery stitched in Italy, metalwork forged in Eastern Europe.
The Snow armchair, part of Note Design Studio’s modular system for La Chance, is shown here in Nobilis’s Legno fabric and can be used as a stand-alone chair or slotted into a larger Snow sofa composition, its base upholsterable in a contrasting fabric on request. It is the single-module entry point into a sofa system built to grow with a room.
La Chance is a Paris based design company producing furniture, lighting, accessories, rugs and wallpaper with a strong and distinctive style. They give a contemporary interpretation of the ornamental and decorative French furniture tradition rooted in the Art Deco period. Their creations share a sophisticated, rich and singular design based on noble materials. It is a come back to a warm and uninhibited luxury, breaking away from cold and conceptual design.
