Veermakers is built on a philosophy of ‘slow design’ — furniture made without haste by Stockholm designer Louise Liljencrantz, from honest materials like oak, walnut, stone and linseed-burnished steel, meant to be lived with for decades rather than seasons. Exclusive to The Invisible Collection, every piece carries the visible trace of hand-craft, from the burn of linseed oil on steel to the natural veining of stone.
This café-scaled edition of the Eight table reduces the collection’s billiards-inspired design to its purest form, with both top and base rendered entirely in craft black steel, burned in linseed oil then brushed and black-oxidised. Because each surface is finished by hand, no two tables are exactly alike — subtle variations in shape and tone are part of the design rather than a flaw to correct. Compact and grounded, it brings the same calculated confidence of the larger dining and side table versions to an intimate scale.
Veermakers was founded in 2017 by Louise Liljencrantz, one of Sweden’s most sought-after interior and furniture designers, in collaboration with KFK Cabinet Makers. The partnership grew out of years of successful joint projects and a shared passion for timeless design, honest materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. All pieces in the Veermakers collection are designed by Liljencrantz and reflect her dedication to enduring quality and sustainable production. Her Stockholm-based studio, Liljencrantz Design, was established in 2009 and has received international acclaim for its bespoke, luxurious interiors for both private and commercial clients.
