The Mille-Feuilles Daybed designed by Mr.&Mr. Is an ultra-comfortable, multi-use mattress. By the composition of its component materials alone Mille-feuilles intrinsically conjures the notion of mobility. This mattress process comes from the assembly of multiple materials, superimposed in layers, whose possibilities of recovery are infinite. This way, Mille-Feuilles is renewable ad infinitum.
Mr. & Mr. envisioned Mille-Feuilles as an archaic process whose ancestry can be attributed to straw mattresses as much as to tatamis: a process in which wear and tear is experienced as being renewed ad infinitum.
