Much of the studio’s output pays homage to Brazil’s mid-century ‘brutalist’ architects — Niemeyer, Lucio Costa, Burle Marx, Lina Bo Bardi — reworking their curves, concrete geometries and tropical modernism into limited-edition furniture. The result is a cosmopolitan, fashion-influenced sensibility that reads as much like homage as it does design.

The Osvaldo sofa by Oitoemponto pays tribute to the 1940s through its low seating and a side table that appears to float beside it, a quiet nod to the era’s furniture that levitated visually even as it remained grounded in craft. Its light oak structure anchors a silhouette that feels both vintage and entirely current.

Upholstered here in a beige Holland and Sherry fabric with braided cushion trims, the sofa is paired with a marble-and-teakwood side table whose material contrast — cool stone against warm wood — mirrors the studio’s broader dialogue between eras. Bespoke fabrics are available for a fully personal reading of the piece.
