With the Large Hydrangea Trinket Bowl M, Olga etc. founder Virginie Boudsocq brings her garden-inspired universe into porcelain. The self-taught French ceramicist, discovered by the Hôtel de Crillon’s executive chef, balances realism and intentional imperfection, letting botanical motifs bloom across each hand-finished piece.
Shaped in white enamelled porcelain, the trinket bowl mixes glossy and matt finishes across its hydrangea-inspired form, so the surface shifts in texture as light moves across it through the day. Satin or fully matt and glossy finishes can also be requested, each giving the same bowl a subtly different mood.
Working in fine arts and advertising, Virginie Boudsocq found a new passion in ceramic and porcelain. A self-taught ceramist, she looks for the perfect balance between realism and imperfection that defines this fragile yet strong material. Her collection of one-of-a-kind dinnerware pieces stems from a chance encounter with the executive chef of the Crillon Hotel in Paris who was looking for new designs befitting the hotel’s gourmet restaurant. Since then, Virginie has created stunning collections for some of the most luxurious hotels in the world.
