Background
Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer based in New York and Florence, with an international curriculum, attending schools in Italy, Portugal, and the United States. Following his B.Arch cum laude from Università degli Studi in Florence and his M.S.Arch with 1st class honour from Pratt Institute, he started collaborating with several renowned firms, including Leeser Architecture in Brooklyn, Claudio Nardi in Florence, Laisné Roussel in Paris, and Carlo Ratti Associati in New York. In 2020, he founded PF|Studio – an interior and collectible design practice at the intersection between digital and physical.
Signature Style
Though Franceschini has a diverse body of works, one can notice a recurring leitmotif in his production: «Each work is in some way the evolution or distortion of the previous one». Embracing the “neotenic design” aesthetic, Pietro Franceschini’s style is often minimalist, defined by clean lines, geometric shapes, and natural tones. The apparent, almost regressive simplicity is counterbalanced by exquisite finishes and the combination of refined materials which lend all his projects an unmistakable look.
