Part of Pietro Franceschini’s world, the Bling Bling Table translates the Florence- and New York-based architect’s belief in “neotenic design” — forms reduced to their most essential, almost primal geometry — into an object built through Italy’s most storied ateliers, sourcing marble from Carrara, metalwork from Florence and upholstery from Milan.
The Bling Bling table pairs a tabletop in ash veneer with legs turned from solid ash timber, part of the Olympus Collection’s family of pieces built on the same sculptural leg language. The signature curved legs give the table an unmistakably sculptural presence, counterbalanced by the quiet, minimalist lines of its surface — a study in contrast between structure and restraint.
Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer based in New York and Florence, with an international curriculum, attending schools in Italy, Portugal, and the United States. Following his B.Arch cum laude from Università degli Studi in Florence and his M.S.Arch with 1st class honour from Pratt Institute, he started collaborating with several renowned firms, including Leeser Architecture in Brooklyn, Claudio Nardi in Florence, Laisné Roussel in Paris, and Carlo Ratti Associati in New York.
