Where its counterpart in travertine reads as sculpture, the Heather Console rendered in Le Manach’s mini leopard velvet for Pierre Frey turns the same silhouette into something closer to a piece of clothing. Le Manach, the historic French fabric house absorbed into Pierre Frey, has produced this leopard weave since the 1970s, and it carries the tactile density of true velvet: light shifts across the pile as you move past it, and the print holds a hand-blocked irregularity rather than a repeat. Delesalle wraps it fully around the console’s rounded volume, treating upholstery as skin rather than accent. Fully bespoke fabrics are available for clients who want the same form in a different register. Best placed where a console can afford to be soft-edged and a little playful — an entrance, a landing, beneath a mirror — rather than a formal dining-room anchor.
