At Garcé & Dimofski, design begins with material rather than form. Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski work almost exclusively with what the Mediterranean landscape and Portuguese artisans can offer: chestnut and walnut wood, hand-thrown ceramic, raw clay and terracotta, resulting in furniture with what the duo call a quiet strength that transcends trends — pieces built to feel inevitable rather than fashionable.
The first of the two Joe Henry Baker folding screens is, like its companion piece, entirely unique: chestnut panels built with integrated hinges and finished with the artist’s own artwork worked directly into the wood. Its handmade nature means the shapes and shades will vary slightly from the second screen in the pair, and both wood and dimensions can be made bespoke.
