At Garcé & Dimofski, design begins with material rather than form. Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski work almost exclusively with what the Mediterranean landscape and Portuguese artisans can offer: chestnut and walnut wood, hand-thrown ceramic, raw clay and terracotta, resulting in furniture with what the duo call a quiet strength that transcends trends — pieces built to feel inevitable rather than fashionable.
This second folding screen with artist Joe Henry Baker is, like the first, a unique piece: chestnut panels fitted with integrated hinges so the screen folds cleanly, each panel carrying part of the artist’s own artwork rather than a repeating pattern. Because it is entirely handmade, its shapes and shades vary slightly from the first edition, and both the wood and dimensions can be made bespoke.
