Laclaux is the Paris studio of Chloé Nègre and François-Xavier Fonbonnat, built on a single conviction: that ecological, artisanal design can be as refined as it is honest. Every piece leaves their workshop having passed through the hands of French cabinetmakers and weavers who favour raw, living materials over anything synthetic or overworked.
The Baci Chair Hibiscus designed by Laclaux shares its sculpted, FSC-certified stained ash frame with the rest of the Baci family, but wears a distinctly floral mood drawn from the hibiscus flower that names it. Chloé Nègre and François-Xavier Fonbonnat conceived the chair as a piece that could sit as comfortably in a dining room as in a garden pavilion.
Seat and backrest are dressed in Mia linen from Manuel Canovas, in hibiscus colour for the seat and eglantine for the backrest, a two-tone pairing the studio also offers matched into a single fabric across both. Bespoke fabrics, dimensions and finishes are available upon request, keeping every Baci Chair Hibiscus tailored to its future home.
