The Bernard Armchair by Leo Sentou is drawn from a square-back, square-seat armchair created by Pierre Bernard in the late eighteenth century, an exercise in pure geometry reinterpreted here with sculptural confidence.
Upholstered here in Dedar’s Adorabile Alpaca in camel, also available in customer’s own material, and resting on brushed bleached oak feet, the Bernard Armchair offers bespoke fabrics, finishes and colours on request. Its true inspiration lies in its unapologetic geometry, a fully upholstered square silhouette that turns rigor itself into a comfortable, sculptural gesture.
Trained at the ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres School in Paris before moving to London to take a master’s degree at Central Saint Martins, Leo Sentou works on high end residential and hospitality projects honing his skills and sense for detail, whilst growing a strong passion for beautiful finishes. In 2021, Leo launched his first furniture line that encapsulates his love for noble materials and exceptional craftmanship.
