Inspired by the works of Maître Ebéniste Jean-Pierre Louis (master in 1787), the Tribun Armchair by Léo Sentou is a contemporary reinterpretation of the French Empire furniture canons. Entirely handcrafted in Europe by a team of skilled artisans, the deceptively simple design revisits the traditional column and bronze decoration typical of the period. The legs are made of bleached, limed, and brushed oak, and enriched by a gouged bronze ring, while the enveloping horse-shoe-shaped seat is fully upholstered, with the armrests becoming sculptural.
Trained at the ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres School in Paris before moving to London to take a master’s degree at Central Saint Martins, Leo Sentou works on high end residential and hospitality projects honing his skills and sense for detail, whilst growing a strong passion for beautiful finishes. In 2021, Leo launched his first furniture line that encapsulates his love for noble materials and exceptional craftmanship.
