Her debut collection, Opening Acts, introduced pieces like the Chatty Sofa, La Mona Table, Soulful Armchair and Oscar Bed, all handcrafted in France in solid raw oak and other natural materials. Stora balances the exacting discipline of naval design with a warmth and tactility that turns each object into something you want to touch as much as look at.

The Pia Side Table by Marion Stora continues the organic language of the Mona Table from her debut Opening Acts collection, its curved French walnut top hand-gouged at the edges and set on an off-set ceramic pebble leg glazed in orange at the Manufacture de Charolles, founded in Burgundy in 1844. Finished by cabinetmaker Benoît de Combret in a manner both brutalist and sophisticated, it radiates a quiet strength.

Marion Stora has loved sailing ever since she was a small child. Her other passion is art. She began studying architecture but quickly realized that interior architecture captivated her most. Defined by rigor and precision, yet warm, colorful, and lively in atmosphere, Marion’s distinctive style is immediately recognizable. Her taste for natural materials – hand-woven fabrics, raw hides, and wood – and her soft, harmonious lines channel a kindred affinity with Modernism.
