Otto 97.5 belongs to a wider table service — tray, fruit bowl, cheese platter, candle holder — that Jean-Marc Gady designed for Noma Editions from ceramic waste given a second life. Fragments too imperfect for conventional firing are crushed, graded and rebound into a new raw material, its surface holding the flecked, faintly marbled character that only reclaimed matter produces; no two pieces read quite the same. Gady, whose Paris studio has shaped material into experience for Diptyque, Baccarat and Louis Vuitton, brings that same instinct for tactile precision to a domestic object, favouring clean, architectural volumes over ornament. Long and low, Otto 97.5 sits naturally at the centre of a table or console, gathering fruit, candles or objects with quiet authority, its ecological premise never announced, only felt in the surface.
