Six lynx prowl along the long edges of a soft olive field, tufted ears pricked, coats marked with ringed spots in ochre and cream. A few are patched with pale blue or blush, as though caught in changing light, and those on opposite sides face in different directions, so the rug has no single front. Red branches lie at the corners, while short flecks of pale wool scatter across the centre like grass seed or light snow. The decorative arts of Swedish Grace were full of animals and figures from myth, drawn into engraved glass and painted ceramics, and the lynx, native to Swedish forests, carries that tradition into wool. Each colour change is placed by hand on the loom, a demanding task across so many small shapes and tones. It brings warmth and narrative to a bedroom, library or relaxed sitting room.
Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
