Fine black lines divide the camel ground into tall panels, some doubled, like the fluting of a pilaster or the stripes of an early twentieth-century wallpaper. Down the centre of each panel runs a slender stem threaded with fan-shaped palmettes in black and cream, punctuated by small diamond beads. In alternate columns the palmettes turn, pointing upward in one and downward in the next, so the eye moves along the rug in both directions. The palmette, or anthemion, came from Greek architecture, and Swedish Grace designers reworked it with a lighter, graphic hand on façades, metalwork and textiles. Rendering the narrow cream highlights within each frond calls for close attention at the loom, as the slightest shift in colour placement would blur the motif. The strong vertical rhythm lengthens a room, making the rug well suited to a hallway, gallery or dining room with dark timber and brass.

Each rug is handcrafted by skilled artisans who master ancestral techniques such as hand knotting, weaving, and tufting. Due to its handmade nature, there may be slight variations in size and colour, and the patterns may adjust proportionally when the rug is scaled to different sizes. Colours are subject to sample approval and colours shown may vary with lighting and environment.
