This collection is an experiential journey through some unmistakable atmospheres from the twentieth century, revamped with a contemporary eye for functionality. Named after Barbara Hutton the Barbara coffee table is handmade by the finest Italian craftsmen. The lacquered American walnut, with its deep brown hues, paired with luxurious Loro Piana cashmere is a tribute to Café Society’s heyday of lavish parties. The shining satin stainless steel and the polished brass conjure the glamour of the 1970s. These materials are revisited by incorporating some clever storage elements that add a contemporary touch to the overall feel. Each piece is named after iconic people from those eras, celebrating the glitz & glam of nightlife and parties. The designs become a tridimensional freeze-frame of those fleeting moments, each embodying a familiar character from that bygone era.

Aurélien Raymond and Costanza Rossi met at famed Studio Casiraghi, whilst working on a variety of international, residential and commercial projects. Both architects with extensive curricula in some of the world’s best universities, they decided to partner and launch their design studio Akademos. Aurélien fell in love with interior design when freelancing for the likes of Pierre Yovanovitch and Emmanuelle Simon. Having grown up in Carrara – known for its spectacular marble quarries- and having spent part of her university years in Venice, Costanza has a keen eye for materials, details and beauty.
