The Rosie table embodies a perfect fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Carefully crafted, it is made using marble stucco, an ancient technique dating back several centuries. Marble stucco is a noble material, the result of a subtle blend of plaster and natural pigments, which, once applied and modelled, dries slowly in the open air, giving rise to unique shades and a fascinating texture. This traditional process gives each piece its own individuality, while preserving the authenticity of the artisanal method. The design of these tables takes the form of a flower, a motif that echoes Uchronia’s distinctive aesthetic. The choice of the flower as a central element evokes organic beauty and refinement, while giving the table a fluidity and visual lightness. This technique has also been adapted for side tables and small household objects such as trays and doorstops.

A multidisciplinary design collective rather than a traditional architecture firm, Uchronia takes its name from a reflection on fictional time and ephemerality.
