The Daisy trays embody a perfect fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Carefully crafted, they are made using marble stucco, an ancient technique dating back several centuries. Marble stucco is a noble material, the result of a subtle blend of plaster and natural pigments, which, once applied and modelled, dries slowly in the open air, giving rise to unique shades and a fascinating texture. This traditional process gives each piece its own individuality, while preserving the authenticity of the artisanal method. The design of these trays takes the form of a flower, a motif that echoes the distinctive aesthetic of Uchronia. The choice of the flower as a central element evokes organic beauty and refinement, while giving the tray a fluidity and visual lightness. This technique has also been adapted for tables.
Each piece is unique due to its handcrafted nature, with shades varying slightly.
A multidisciplinary design collective rather than a traditional architecture firm, Uchronia takes its name from a reflection on fictional time and ephemerality.
