The Ki Desk by Victoria Magniant is a tribute to ancestral Japanese woodworking techniques. Available in a limited edition, it is made by hand and assembled without any visible attachment. “I wanted to go for the exceptional by collaborating with the French cabinetmaker Thomas Lebecel, known for his sense of detail and unique expertise. This collection explores the possibilities of the ancestral technique of Yakisugi, which “fossilizes” the wood and gives it an almost mineral appearance.” says Victoria Magniant. The tapered legs fit perfectly into the top. With no visible joints, the structure is held together by custom-made fixtures.
