Dabacali Table by Maison Integre

Stories Editor's Pick Dabacali Table by Maison Integre

Utterly contemporary, yet exquisitely traditional, the Dabacali table is an instant conversation piece created by Maison Intègre. The brain-child of French entrepreneur Ambre Jarno, Maison Intègre revisits the ancestral know-how of African bronze-casting by bringing together contemporary artists & designers with local artisans.

Dabacali is a word in nouchi, a form of slang that appeared in Côte d’Ivoire in the 1980s and is spoken in West Africa. It means to share an abundant meal with friends in a festive atmosphere. The shape of the Dabacali table draws from the many water towers found in Ouagadougou: a reminder that water resources are a major issue for Burkina Faso.

Designed by François Champsaur, this stunning piece in rough bronze is handmade by skilled craftsmen. The material is from recycled metals, as eco-responsibility is at the core of Maison Intègre’s philosophy.

Available in two sizes, the Dabacali table brings a strong, sculptural accent to the décor, towering over the room in its mirror-polished finish. Elegant and timeless, it’s the perfect addition to a collection of contemporary pieces.
