The name Maison Intègre, or “House of the Honest,” reflects both the ethical sourcing of its materials and the country’s reputation as the land of upright people. The atelier has collaborated with François Champsaur and Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, and partnered with Saint Laurent Rive Droite.
The Baby Tôle Lamp, designed by Marion Mailaender for Maison Intègre, is not just a lamp. It was born from Mailaender’s trip to Ouagadougou, where she discovered the ubiquitous presence of corrugated iron, the emblematic “tôle” that clads roofs and workshops across Burkina Faso, and translated its rippling silhouette into a collection of light.
Cast in satin bronze by hand from recycled metals, the Baby Tôle Lamp takes up the collection’s signature undulations, turning the fixture into a small sculpture of light. Its streamlined shape underscores the robustness of the bronze while softening it into elegant curves, diffusing a warm, gentle glow that carries the memory of a Burkinabé rooftop into an interior setting.
