Background
Les MétamorFoses is a non-profit organisation founded in 2021 by Valérie Accary and Sandrine Couroyer, two friends driven by the same interest in artistic upcycling and craftsmanship. One brings ideas, the other shares her expertise of product development for French luxury goods: together, they envision a new approach to design by presenting an collection of original works with a story and a positive message. Each piece is made from imperfect materials, leftovers and offcuts, sourced in French workshops, most of which are labeled Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant. The collection comprises an array of artworks commissioned to renowned artists and designers and is handmade by French artisans.
