The Ovale Plissé by Tiffany Bouelle x MetamorFoses is crafted from poplar wood by art cabinetmaker Ludovic Avenel, and adorned with fabric scraps from Maison Thevenon, skillfully applied into exquisite pleats. Tiffany Bouelle’s pleated ovals encapsulate countless stories. With a deliberate nod to the canons of antiquity, Thevenon’s fabric scraps intertwine to form folds frozen in arrested motion. Like mirrors, these pleated ovals carry the memories and thoughts of those who gaze upon them. Our eyes wander through the folds, encountering thoughts that touch us, evoke emotions, and sometimes even lead us to dream.Â
Les MétamorFoses is a non-profit organisation founded in 2021 by Valérie Accary and Sandrine Couroyer, two friends driven by the same interest in artistic upcycling and craftsmanship.
