Each piece is realized in collaboration with a renowned artist or designer and produced by French artisans, many bearing the state-recognized Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant label, so that what might otherwise be discarded becomes the raw material for genuine collectible design.

Recycled Glass Piece 35 closes out François Azambourg’s limited series of 35 unique vases made for Les MétamorFoses from recycled glass, a project born directly from the nonprofit’s mission to give workshop offcuts a second, more considered life as collectible design.

Blown in a palette of yellow and blue, the vase carries the same handmade unpredictability as every piece in the series — no mold, no repetition, only the glassmaker’s hand guiding molten recycled material into form. The cooler blue tones here shift the mood from the warmer pieces in the series, proof that even discarded glass can hold real range of expression.
