Francesco Balzano brings a builder’s discipline to every object he designs. The Cesar vase inverts the collection’s usual proportions, setting a Lens stone top above a body in smoked high-gloss eucalyptus, so the material pairing that defines the Cesar tables becomes a single sculptural object. Balzano treats it as a small architectural study, a fragment of Villa Necchi’s sophistication scaled down to a tabletop object.
