Millot has a rare gift for taming bronze into fluid lines that seem almost in motion, a quality that has carried her work from Masterpiece London to New York and into the permanent collection of the Mobilier National.
The Longchamp Chair by Anasthasia Millot is handmade in France, its light brown bronze patina frame shown here upholstered in Métaphores’ Longchamp fabric in the color banane. The subtle twist worked into each foot is the collection’s signature gesture, giving an otherwise solid bronze structure the beautiful, airy elegance for which Millot’s work is known.
Her longstanding experience in the fashion world has informed Anasthasia Millot’s approach to design and her eye for fluidity and self-restraint, two qualities she injects into metalsmithing by creating elegant bronze pieces defined by clean lines. In 2010, she presented her first designs at PAD Paris, then, in 2017, she exhibited her work at Masterpiece London and then in New York.
