The Los Tres Deseos Stool 2 is designed by Pietro Franceschini, the Italian architect behind PF|Studio, whose “neotenic design” philosophy strips forms down to a pure, almost childlike geometry. Each piece is realized through an uncompromising material chain — marble quarried and carved in Carrara, metalwork cast and finished in Florence, upholstery crafted in Milan.
This second stool from the Los Tres Deseos set is carved in white Onyx marble with a matte finish, its companion pieces available in Carrara marble in either matte or glossy. Together the trio explores how a single sculptural silhouette can shift character entirely through stone and finish, each piece taken to roughly eighty percent completion by robot before an artisan hand-finishes it in Carrara.
Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer based in New York and Florence, with an international curriculum, attending schools in Italy, Portugal, and the United States. Following his B.Arch cum laude from Università degli Studi in Florence and his M.S.Arch with 1st class honour from Pratt Institute, he started collaborating with several renowned firms, including Leeser Architecture in Brooklyn, Claudio Nardi in Florence, Laisné Roussel in Paris, and Carlo Ratti Associati in New York.
