Part of Pietro Franceschini’s world, the Los Tres Deseos Stool 3 translates the Florence- and New York-based architect’s belief in “neotenic design” — forms reduced to their most essential, almost primal geometry — into an object built through Italy’s most storied ateliers, sourcing marble from Carrara, metalwork from Florence and upholstery from Milan.
Completing the set, this third Los Tres Deseos stool returns to Carrara marble in a matte finish, with white Onyx offered as an alternative in matte or glossy. Displayed together, the three stools read as variations on a single sculptural theme, each robot-sculpted to roughly eighty percent before an artisan’s hand completes the final surface in the Carrara workshop.
Pietro Franceschini is an architect and designer based in New York and Florence, with an international curriculum, attending schools in Italy, Portugal, and the United States. Following his B.Arch cum laude from Università degli Studi in Florence and his M.S.Arch with 1st class honour from Pratt Institute, he started collaborating with several renowned firms, including Leeser Architecture in Brooklyn, Claudio Nardi in Florence, Laisné Roussel in Paris, and Carlo Ratti Associati in New York.
