The Cookie coffee table stands out for its elegant Raku top, punctuated by three wooden circles. Its design evokes the delicious shape of cookies. Raku, a ceramic technique originating in Japan, involves repeated firing in fire baths, revealing delicate cracks. It is available in several finishes, including lacquer, enamelled lava stone and gradient colours. Originally designed for the bookshop of the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris, this table has since been added to the Univers Uchronia furniture collection.
Each piece is unique due to its handcrafted nature, with slight variations in cracks and colours.
A multidisciplinary design collective rather than a traditional architecture firm, Uchronia takes its name from a reflection on fictional time and ephemerality. The studio creates modern “experiential spaces,” removing the barriers between technical expertise and creativity. It transforms spaces by offering a complete artistic service, ranging from architecture and spatial planning to design and visual identity.
