Goya Gallagher founded Anut Cairo around a simple premise: that Egypt’s textile and ceramic traditions, still very much alive in villages along the Nile, deserved a platform beyond souvenir shops. Named after Nut, the sky goddess of ancient Egyptian mythology, the house sources hand-painted pottery from the Fayoum oasis, hand-embroidered linens from its own Cairo training centre, and woven textiles from the historic weaving towns of Akhmim and Sohag. Its embroidery school and artist residency programme keep the emphasis on people and place as much as on the finished object.
Adorned with three different bird motifs, the Bird Set of Napkins by Anut Cairo brings a naive, whimsical charm to the table, crafted in linen and hand embroidered by skilled artisans. Its rustic character suits a country lunch or a summer picnic as easily as a formal dinner.

This new lifestyle brand celebrates Egyptian heritage and craftsmanship, bringing the light, warmth, and magic of this unique country into homes around the world.
