Every stage, from dyeing and spinning to knotting and finishing, is completed entirely by hand, giving each rug the tactile, faintly irregular character the brand considers the mark of genuine craft rather than a flaw to be engineered away.
Rows of hand-knotted wool framed by a braided tasselled fringe give the Malawi Rug its blend of novelty and nostalgia, its ribbed pile forming an undulating canvas of painterly hues in Mushroom or Oatmeal. Delightfully soft and supple underfoot, it is designed to bloom and blend with time, softening further with every year of barefoot use.
